Stop right there. Did you check if the cameras you were comparing had the same numbers of pixels? Did you uprez the smaller files? Go back and start again.

I\'m well aware of the effect of increased resolution on perceived noise at a given magnification. That does not mean I don\'t wish for improved S/N and color response from higher density sensors. Canon\'s sensors have shown worse chroma noise than other manufacturers\' designs in this most recent generation.I do hope the 7D offers an improvement.
