Mind you, I wrote about wanting that as the \"must have\" update of the 50D over the 40D before the 50D was released, and we didn\'t see it then either.
I understand that there are solid physical design reasons why this would be hard-to-impossible to implement in the current design of xxD bodies - it\'s not just a firmware thing.
