Am really enjoying the 85 1.8D on my D700. I was afraid I would find the focal length too short, but I\'m actually enjoying the dof so much that I\'m just using my feet to make up the extra reach

Spot metering.
I actually shot one shot with matrix metering and because of the bright background it wanted to prevent blowing it out, and the subject was too dark, quick as a flash, swapped to Spot metering, and got a better shot than the first
