Can\'t let this good thread die.......I believe images here are more helpful to those looking to buy new lenses than any lengthy theoretical/abstract discussion.
Here is 200 f/1.8 at work, wide open or near it. Shot hand-held as JPG using 1DMkIIN and natural light, no out of camera processing other than some very minor edge trimming and then resizing for web.
