It was a toss up between the old grandpa SSC and the FD L, I\'m glad I went for the SSC instead, considering how close in price they were.
The octagonal aperture iris can be found on many 8-bladed versions, including the new EF L I and II, but 9 blades exclusively hold something special to the SSC version.
I agree. This was one of the reasons I chose this one over the FD L. I also think this version has better CA control.

I can only imagine what the EF would have done to this watch. Absolutely no CA reduction or correction of any sort has been done here. What little you do see is SOOC.
