The other day the B&H Used Photo Gear Department gave me the incredible opportunity to make a LensCoat for the one of the longest and rarest full auto focus lenses in the world. It was quite an experience working with a lens that when in it\'s case wouldn\'t fit in the back of my 4Runner without putting the seats down. Of course I told B&H that it was extremely critical that I field test the LensCoat to make sure it performs properly . With my insurance agent standing close by I deftly maneuvered this 38in long 36.4lb monster around my backyard in search of worthy subjects (birds and bunnies.) It\'s a good thing the 5dmk2 I borrowed had a camera strap on it.
This lens doesn\'t come with IS or DI (Image Stabilization or Disability Insurance) so I soon opted for a a sturdy tripod.
