It\'ll be 16MP, but not FF
I fear you may be correct. I\'m betting Canon, in a daft effort to protect its high end FF sales, keeps the 1.3 crop. That\'d be too bad. They\'ll finally force me to Nikon/Sony or I\'ll continue to buy used \"last year\'s model\" Canon DSLRs until Canon gets its act together or I become completely fed up (and I\'m getting closer and closer to my fed up point - the only thing keeping me in the Canon camp are a few lenses that Nikon/Sony don\'t offer). I\'m tired of waiting for Canon to introduce a reasonably fast (6-8+ fps) FF with reasonable resolution (12-16+ MPs) and working AF.
If we\'re wrong and Canon introduces a FF, fast shooting 16 MP, I\'ll buy one the minute it becomes available (yep, even if it means being an early adopting Canon \"beta tester\"). If it\'s a fast shooting 16 MP 1.3 crop, I\'ll pass (again). Canon\'s running out of time if it want to keep me as a customer.
I\'m keen to know what the D3 and D700 will eventually be upgraded to. I\'d probably have bought either of them if they had the same specs and 16-18MP.
Cheers!
