It does seem to me - though this is entirely anecdotal - that there are far fewer complaints from Nikon users (at the moment at least) on the general purpose photog boards I follow (& grumblings - especially of the \"I\'m switching to Canon\" kind seem much less evident when I do peruse the Nikon forums). I\'m not sure how much stock to place in this kind of thing but it does make you wonder... I would think you should be happy with your Canon gear, from your profile you don\'t own a 1D3, thus never had to put up with spending $4500.00 for camera body that had major troubles.
Well, that was precisely the point - though I\'ve had my share of gear problems. But, as your profile suggests you\'re a Nikon user, I\'m not sure why you are concerned...?
