Re: Mark III-Recall again ?

No company is immune. Those who think that jumping to Nikon will eliminate QC issues might read Thom Hogan\'s \"Review Do-Over\" from Jan. 26, about a month after the D3x started shipping, IIRC:

\"I\'ve already heard from more people with problems with their D3x than I heard from people with D3 problems the first month it was out. Considering that the number of D3x bodies that have shipped is considerably lower than the number of D3 bodies that shipped in the same time period, this isn\'t a good sign. Let\'s hope that my experience and that of others I\'ve heard from are a short-term anomaly or just a result of the higher price producing more complaints.\"

Again, Thom\'s expressing concern about QC for the D3x, not the D3, so those who have bought the latter probably aren\'t seeing problems.

Hmm. I also found this, from diglloyd, on Nikon\'s new PC-E lenses:

\"There is a serious problem with the 45mm and 85mm offerings. Whether it’s a design flaw, or simply the worst assembly tolerances I’ve ever seen is something Nikon will have to answer.\"

Reason for edit: Added diglloyd reference.
