Very happy with mine. I have been using it on my 5D. It seems fine at all distances and with all focus points in One Shot mode, I have not tried it in AI Servo mode. It is presently my favorite lens. Very sharp, great bokeh, color and contrast. I don\'t have the serial number handy, but bought it new at Christmas.
