If you have wordpress 2.7 here\'s the ss of how to limit number of posts:

http://www.digart.pl/praca/3003180/Wordpress_Post_Limit.html

If you have lower than version 2.7 then just find the same menu up but above in the Settings section.

And you currently have 6 posts so if you limit it to 6 the next one will move the first post to the next page and so on...
