Travelling North from Glasgow to Wester Ross in the Highlands of scotland, the main A87 road passes, and is dominated by, the famous castle Eilean Donan, that guards the Loch and the way to Skye and the Northern Highlands. Barry, Carlo and I arrived near sunset, on a cold and grey afternoon. After photographing for a while, we noticed the colours and mood of the great castle changing, subtly at first and then more dramatically. Finally we drove up the old road above the castle for the view of the Loch, guarded by its castle - by now it was fully night.
