the black dots are definitely real and I believe universal (although it does seem that some are more prone to them than others, I have seen people get lots of them at ISO100 even while I seem to only get them at higher ISO (perhaps onyl when shooting outdoors in teh cold, not sure yet), at least with how I shoot such subjects).
and while I have not seen the sRAW1 banding others have and I mean even canon has directly admitted the problem exists.
and my battery comaprtment door (as well as for some others) does do a squeak noise when I grip the camera which makes the build feel a bit flimsy although in practical terms it doesn\'t mean anything so it\'s not that big of a deal.
that said since I haven\'t seen sRAW1 banding myself and the squeak doesn\'t realy affect anything in the end and the black dots are pretty situational (and even when they show in most shots it doesn\'t matter, although I do have about 4 nice shots that will require extensive and time consuming PP or me to waster time writing a program to autofix them so I would certainly rather the issue were not there, also I perhaps haven\'t tested it enough yet either) I still have to say that so far I\'m very glad to have the camera for sure.
