Is this a serious post? Well, no I find the 5D2 shutter fairly quiet, and I don\'t feel anything really. A little mirror slap, but not much. Certainly no grindy noise. The noise is very slick and mechanical.
probably depends upon what you are used to.
having mostly used xxD recently, I was a bit taken aback by the way the 5DMkII shutter sounded and how much it shook the body compared to the little APS-C mirrors.
I don\'t recall the EOS 650 or Rebel 2000 being quite this sort either, but it\'s been a while
