This image is an homage to Robert Sanders - a California based photographer who I\'ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from on a couple of occassions, and whose work has inspired me a lot. Robert is working on a rope series and deserves the credit for the concept here.
Sarah is such a lovely model, who dreams of one day being in Playboy or other men\'s magazine like that. I don\'t tend to shoot in quite that style, but she was a good sport, playing along with the whole rope concept, and allowing my stylist and MUA Mallory to, effectively, tie her to the roof. Heh.
Lighting for this shot is similar to the lighting set up I described in the linked post above. Snooted strobe high, camera position, on the face, spilling down a smide. Two small strips as rim lights about 4 feet and 45\' behind model. Camera left gridded medium softbox to add some depth to the rope. Gridded strobe with stuff in front of it on the background.
