Steadman, I have commented on many of your posts in the \"People\" forum so I will be the first here.
I found the composition very intuitive. The pianist eyes convey an almost immediate sense of , well something I can\'t pinpoint ..maybe....Some inner comment of \"Yes, I have found the missing chord or yes, that musical bar completes the verse.\" She has the look of an immediate conclusion without any sense of immediate reasoning. If you will, the lightbulb above the head came on!
Maybe some divine or prophetic power being unleashed by her mind-finger coordination transferred onto the piano keys. Some spiritual intercession guiding her hands or mental thought process.
Some reporting, via the eyes, of her conscious inner thoughts or maybe a sensation or desire conveyed by her music.
A sense of \"extrospection\" versus introspection. She is looking, sensing, feeling or observing something external to herself and or her music.
A spiritual awakening if you will. Self reflection transferred through her fingers onto the keyboard. Her soul being \"outside\" her body manipulated by her fingers.
The woman has become one with her thoughts and music. We should all be so lucky in some way or another. Just as a photographer hopes to make the same connection in his images, the same conveyance.
This image invoked the same wonderment and though to me. I could place myself on the piano bench and substituting say, camera, pen, brush, whatever device I may use to go \"within\" myself to lead to expression and extrospection.
Maybe even existential in that she is wondering, \"well the logical musical chord, verse, scale progression is this BUT heh!, I want it to go this way..against the norm!
I may be babbling on now Steadman....
Well done and your images ALWAYS provide me with contemplation.
