I would send it in regardless whether it is working according to specs or not for the various reasons people pointed out already. I had two batteries but ended up selling a brand new one since, indeed, a single charge can last at least 4 or even more shots. I don\'t remember when I could do that in a single day. Save the extra weight you have to carry.... well, not a whole lot but still.
