Interesting but it\'s not necessarily software. Just about any of Canon\'s DSLR\'s which run on 7.4v batteries will create banding which is most pronounced in AI Servo/AI Focus mode on certain lenses (and each of these lenses can have a part replaced to assist in suppressing that sort of banding).
