The 5D2 pricing is nasty? My impression is the 5D Mk II is TERRIFIC value. I paid $3,200 for my 3-year-old 5D. The 5D II has close to 40 new additions/changes to it\'s specifications, and features like the new 21mp sensor, Digic IV, 14-bit convertor, real high-def 3\" screen, HD video, self-cleaning sensor, partial weather sealing, expanded ISO range with a 2-stop noise advantage (approx) are all HUGE improvements IMHO. Obviously our standards and value systems are very different! The MSRP is or was lower than the D700 and IMO there is no contest between the D700 and the 5D II. For me, the 5D II wins hands-down.
BTW the 2\" screen on the 1Ds2 is just pathetic (worse than the 5D) .... and it has no self-cleaning sensor!

All kidding aside, that 5D2 price is just nasty. With clean used 1Ds3s (in NA) going for $5600.....Just need to find a NA seller willing to get creative on the custom docs.
