You must be doing something wrong. If jpegs were not as sharp as raw i doubt the worlds top wedding photographers would be shooting jpeg, which they are.
That isn\'t saying much about the worlds top wedding photographers if your statement were true. Jpeg is a lossy format, so as soon as the image is saved, it is compromised. They would have to be crazy not to shoot and keep raw files instead of jpegs.
