Canon would have done it the other way round if true, lower spec camera now and higher spec camera just before photokina. Sorry you\'ve seen their entire announcements related to lenses and DSLR\'s now - 50D, 5D II, 24L II
I don\'t think so, they always have done it the other way around, expensive bodies FIRST, and then a few months later the stripped down version retaining 80% of the specs at lower price (this way they rip all the money available from wealthier users before reaching the budget photog\'s). You\'ll notice Nikon has *always* followed this path as well, in a very consistent manner : D100/D710, D200/D80, D3/D700... Oh, and by the\" way the MkII does NOT support EF-S lenses.
