Canon will reestablish their \"pro range\" and D3x or 4 are just upgraded not to lay wide behind again. Nikon has to overjump a step in development, to stay close. This is why there will be no 3Dx on pkotokina. Nobody wants to see his top level competitor outdated by a swmi and another midpro range camera, just when its introduced.
