Re: Any recommendations for a vintage 35mm full-frame lens for Sony?
I guess I missed this thread the first time around.
My best answer for this is the 7artisans 35/1.4 mIII ($189 on Amazon). It's a 7 elements in five groups design that does a surprisingly good job aping the Lux 35 pre-A and it's native mount (no electronics, though).
For adapted lenses, the Minolta MC/MD Rokkor 35/1.8 HH is a great suggestion. It's a very distinct and classic look. The Leica-R Summicron 35/2 has plenty of SA at wide apertures (be sure to go for the e55 with a built-in hood, either Canada or Germany). It's pricier than the Rokkor, but not as much as going with a Summicron-M. The Canon LTM 35/2 is a lovely example old-school gorgeous, with heavy SA wide open that doesn't completely clear until you're at 5.6. The Canon LTM 35/1.5 is another great choice, but prepare to bleed a bit for it if you find a good copy.
I doubt the OP cares anymore, but for anyone else looking.
