This lens has been my workhorse since I purchased it new in 2023. Optics are super sharp and AF works lightning fast, as intended. Front element was protected with a filter from day one and is flawless. There are a few reflections in my attached photos that could be mistaken for scratches. Confirming those are reflections and the glass is pristine. Aesthetically, as pictured, the lens shows signs of the many shoots it shined for. The hood has a hairline crack on it that does not go through to the other side, and does not affect functionality in any way. The edges of the hood also show signs of rubbing, where the hood did its job admirably. Behind the front element, there are a number of small specs of dust that got in through zooming, as can happen to zoom lenses in dusty environments, but these do not affect image quality whatsoever. Overall, this is a well loved lens that still functions fantastically and produces incredible images, while aesthetically showing a few battle scars. Comes with Sony hood, Sony lens cap and Sony back cap. Probably an 8+, but conservatively will rate as an 8 because of the condition of the hood and presence of tiny dust specs internally.
