Thanks to everyone who replied—very helpful perspectives.
It seems like the Sony remains the best choice given the options—I have no need for the extra computer work, so I’ll fish around for the a7rIII. I like IBIS and a good EVF, but the extra focus aids seem to require electronic adapters. And the size difference compared with the Nikon is very unappealing (even if I like the vintage design).
