Da Frog

Sometimes they're almost solid green. The Cope's Gray Treefrog (H. chrysoscelis) is much less common here, and it's difficult to tell between them. Their call is a little different, though.

It was when it sat in the palm of my hand Alan.
I was amazed how green it turned into.

I encountered 2 snakes in SE Asia that changed colors...green meant "I am gonna get you"! But that was if YOU saw it and it was visable by light...by night or "triple canopy darkness", you were toast! 1 species hung from trees during the monsoon season, or bamboo branches, and latched onto any creature passing by.....called it the "5 pace snake", versus the "2 pace viper"..it would determine whether to bite you or not by smell@ body odor...the fable is..it went from being the "2 pace" snake before you were dead, to the "5 pace"..the snake gave you a few more steps before you were "star dust".

"Allied combat troops" were more susceptable to a bite because they ate foods that emitted a body odor in the sweat. We learned to eat fish, rice and veggies(no garlic) and NO "western food".
Not funny but a relation to this frog and its camo. I feared snakes more than the enemy.
Thanks!
Dan
