That’s a really relevant point about Sony “selling to others.” Take sensors, for example…
That’s actually one reason to hope that this might not cause Tamron prices to rise. If Tamron is still going to sell lenses for non-Sony cameras, where a big part of the appeal is the lower cost of third-party lenses, Sony/Tamron would have to keep that price advantage on those other platforms in order to maintain market share. And if the price of some particular lens that the configure for Nikon, Canon, Fujifim is $X, then it would be hard for the to sell that same lens at $X+ to Sony users.
