FS: Nikon L35 AF 1000 ISO version

Item 1: Nikon L35 AF

This is the one and only price drop for this camera.

Up for sale is my Nikon L35AF 1000 ISO model.

Specifications
* 35mm film camera
* Lens: 35mm f/2.8 with autofocus from 0.8m to infinity. It has 5 elements in 4 groups. 46mm filter thread.
* Exposure: Fully automatic, range EV 6 (f/2.8 at 1/8 sec.) to EV 17 (f/17.5 at 1/430 sec.) with ASA/ISO 100 film
* Film Speed Range: early version ASA/ISO 50-400; later version ASA/ISO 50-1000.
* Features: integral flash.
* Power: two AA alkaline batteries. Good for 25+ rolls.

The camera is in very good condition for its age. Some paint wear is present but the camera works perfectly. These cameras usually have two known weaknesses: broken battery doors and and broken self timer levers. Both the battery door and self timer switch are good on my copy. To protect the battery door I use a piece of gaffer's tape and a small length of toothpick to keep the door secure and latched as a precaution. One of the other standout features of this camera is the backlight compensation lever on the perimeter of the lens. When activated the camera's meter adds 2-stops of exposure compensation to the shot. It works really well and is a breeze to use and keep moving. The pop up flash works as it is supposed to as well and is defeatable by simply holding it down if it springs to life and you don't want it.

If anyone is looking for a fitting lens hood for their Nikon L35AF: the Nikon HN-33 shares the same filter thread

The camera will come with the original instructions, original lens cap and original strap (not shown in photos). The wrist strap in the photos is not included.

There were two models of this camera, one with a max ISO of 400 and one more sought after with the max ISO of 1000. The one I am offering for sale is the 1000 ISO version. The viewfinder is big, bright and clear. Some dust is present. The autofocus works perfectly.
