No equipment makes photos better. Except for underwater photography, it's just hard to take a regular camera underwater.
I've had the M11 since the day it was sold – almost four years now. I've been shooting with Leica for a very long time, probably 30 years now. I've also shot with most other DSLRs and mirrorless cameras.
I like the Leica M camera. But my favorite lenses are vintage lenses for the M system, and not just Leica ones.
As for focus, I can't focus as quickly on a new Sony camera for street photography as I can on the M11. And sometimes I don't even need precise focus. If I wanted sharpness, I'd shoot with medium format.
Aside from the insane prices of Leica cameras and lenses, everything else is fine for me.
