I agree, I nearly bought a Fuji XF10 at one stage when I wanted a compact camera - small, light, APS-C sensor and fixed 18.5mm f/2.8 (28mm FF equivalent). At the time they were expensive and hard to find, and the reports of terrible AF put me off so I bought a used RX100 instead - its ok for what it is but has the ergonomics of a bar of soap.
An APSC compact with a sharp fast prime and modern sensor/AF performance would be tempting for the times I don't want to carry a camera bigger than pocket size.
