I was debating getting into Pentax as an all weather travel kit, but it looks like they stopped manufacturing dslr's (except for their full frame model).
My current "all weather" travel kit is an OM System OM-5 with a Panasonic 12-35mm f2.8 G2, Olympus 45-150mm f4 Pro, and a Pan/Leica 9mm f1.7. The images I get with that tiny OM-5 rival the APS-C images I used to get with my R7. Last year I took the OM outfit on a trip to Madrid. It was my primary/only camera for that particular trip. It rained the entire week. I was out taking great pics with it under the rain, in the middle of a couple of large street protests (they were near the hotel I was staying at, so I couldn't resist)! The OM-5 performed flawlessly!
Have you considered getting a waterproof point & shoot (like the Olympus TG7) as a back up to use in the rain? A few years ago I had a Panasonic waterproof point and shoot (TS3), and I took it into swimming pools, under the pouring rain, etc., just for fun! I've heard that the Olympus version is even better.

The K70 was £279 (fully serviced less than 2K shutter count) the 18-135WR I already had (paid £75 a year ago)
So it stands me at £354 and that’s for a fully featured WR magnesium dslr outfit. I think that’s ok.. if it dies…..so be it!! I’ll just use my phone (weather proof too)
