Has a screenshot from the Leica Discord saying the same. When there's money involved, every company in the world uses their strategic advantage(s) for profit, so please refrain from "knock-off" or "that should be illegal" discussion and focus on posting images.
Obviously these lenses are **NOT** for everyone, but as a hobbyist with emphasis on hobby, I appreciate the price/performance. And as someone with more than a fair share of character flaws, I often gravitate towards flawed lenses. ¯_(ツ_/¯
