Because sometimes questions are posted by people who are new to these decisions, and more experienced photographers can help them make the best choices.
For example, it is easy for someone to assume that the lens with the biggest aperture is always a better choice. Sometimes it may be, and sometimes it may not be — and that’s worth exploring.
And, believe it or not, some people who are price-focused and looking at the least expensive options are not yet aware that they may be sacrificing things like AF.
In fact, taking the time to consider the OP’s context is far from “contributing absolutely nothing.” I’ve seen many people learn a lot from such questions and end up making decisions that they were happier with.
