FS: Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH Black Chrome 11688 LNIB
Item 1: Leica Summilux 50 mm f/1.4 ASPH Black Chrome 11688 LNIB
Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH Lens, 11688, Limited Edition Black Chrome. Made in Germany. I purchased this lens new and it’s never been used, never even mounted on a body. I only removed it from the box to take these photos. You won’t find a nicer example.
These lenses were originally part of a limited edition of 500 pieces. Because of its popularity, I believe the production was extended to 1000 pieces. The black-chrome finish and features mimic the first edition of this lens produced in 1959. The unique design includes a scalloped focusing ring, red-colored focusing distance scale, and a finely-knurled aperture ring. This edition also includes a metal front lens cap as well as a metal round lens hood. This lens is solid brass, has the best tactile feedback I’ve ever experienced in a lens, and is arguably one of the finest lenses Leica has produced.
The design of the original lens hood prevented the simultaneous use of a filter and the lens hood. Leica designed and manufactured a new lens hood that will accommodate a filter. The re-designed hood, as well as the original, is included in the sale.
Sale includes everything as new, both inner and outer boxes, front and rear caps, and both hoods as described.
Price is net to me and includes insured shipping in the continental United States.
