The APO is good for scenes with people as well. I stand a little further back and capture the scene rather than how I tend to shoot the noktons. Something like this:
Uniform and high sharpness of details are a plus here, and with the pretty smooth blur of the bg and clean-ish scene it's not overwhelming.
I lifted the blacks in the tone curve but not much else (just tweak the blue guard rail to be slightly less offensive).
Think I need to get a better hang of the type of shots and scenes that suit the lens I've got that day, and more familiar with subtle but effective tweaks in posts for different grievances. Maybe as dust builds up inside the lens with time it calms down a bit too
Will get a chance to use it for some nature scenes soon-ish, which I think is what it's actually for. But will see how it holds up for walkabouts too since I may have ruined my film with the new CT scanner at the airport.
