From my roamings about various southern Utah canyons, badlands, quiet trails, and scenic roads a few months back.
On the starry sky shot above cliffs at Zion, I made this shot just before the moon rose and loved the ethereal glow that gave, and the lights from the nearby town of Springdale provided just the right light for the cliffs (single exposure).
For most of these I had solitude, away from crowds, which for me enhances the experience of being there and the concentration on making compositions. I did have a brief visitor for the starry night shot when I was startled by a fox trotting by not far from my tripod.
