AFAIK there is only one optical/mechanical version of this lens. A silver edition has been released for L mount. The naming has changed recently as Sigma has dropped the DG nomenclature. At this time, both are currently available for purchase. The latest firmware for Sony is version 6 from 11/2024. It is a lovely and versatile lens.
