The lens is in the same condition as when I got it. I have only used it once walking around my neighborhood, and I had a lens filter on it. According to Bill, he used this lens for 100 or 200 photos and also always had a filter (as well as lens wrap on). The lens is as sharp and as centered.
I bought the lens for myself as birthday gift after seeing the glowing review (http://www.naturalart.ca/voice/blog.html) from Canadian wildlife photographer from Brad Hill, but there are no big bears near me, so yeah it was an impulse purchase and I’m going back to using my 400 prime…
