I think so too with the voigtlanders finding a nice middle ground.
I probably will go for the nokton 35/1.2 on film.
I'm always optimistic about seeing the results with the Zeiss, occassionaly off-put by a distracting element in the bokeh but often very impressed.
I don't think I'm overselling, it's a brilliant piece of kit to have.
It makes 35mm for photos of people more usable for me wide open - and it's the one doing the heavy lifting in getting a nice image on digital. Nokton 1.2s I have to work a little harder - not a huge amount more, but still. Zeiss it's snap and there's magic. Sometimes an ogre appears in the bushes.
