His plan was to become a professional photographer, but that never happened. The camera sat in a box in his closet from when it was basically new until I talked him into selling it to me.
The condition is overall excellent, right down to the curtains not having any cracks. The chrome is in great shape, as is the leatherette. The waist level finder works well but has some kind of flaw (separation I think) in the magnifier eyepiece. I never noticed when using it, but you can see it in the right light, and I wanted to note it. The A12 back was serviced in 2021, after I bought it, as was the camera. I will include that receipt.
