Inexpensive wine, good corkscrew and a fine camera and lens!
That is lovely, tight little system, isn't it?
Yes, it is Dan. I think both the X-E5 and the 23/2.8 are grossly overpriced, but that camera/lens is so handy to always have around I really like it even though I have not had it long.
That price is the hang-up for a lot of people, I think. It is literally twice the list price of its predecessor! (I know it has updated stuff, but XE models always do — they are more or less the last to get the sensor and other features of the newest generation.)
Seeing what post tariff prices are like now I'm glad I got mine with lens at kit price before the tariffs. As well as the XT5. Price seemed a little high then but now everything is a lot more costly.
I guess I just wanted the 40mp sensor, IBIS and EFCS in the smaller form factor. Maybe a little biased becuase I started with the XE1 but it packs nice than the XT5 and also fits in my one of my winter coats pocket neatly with any of the pancakes. The X system in it's most compact/original form imo.
