I hate to be "that guy," but you did ask for critiques. The compositions are all superb and I admire you for getting out there in the winter to shoot in difficult conditions. The problem with the first, third and fourth images is that the whites are blown out and have no detail. I haven't seen the color versions, but perhaps it would be possible to do conversions that retain detail in the snow?

You're not being "that guy" at all I appreciate you taking a moment to comment as I'm looking to improve. I'm certainly not trying to be combative but I'm not sure how much more detail I could pull out of freshly fallen snow. I'll take a look. Thanks for the input !

I'm also not trying to be combative or argumentative, but to demonstrate what I'm referring to I just posted two images shot right after a fresh snowfall. With correct exposure, you should be able to hold detail in the white snow.

PS--Just a note about critiquing. Whenever people post images and say comments and critiques welcome, I take that literally as an invitation to point out areas that, in my opinion, might need improvement. I try to be entirely constructive. Several years ago I posted an image that I really liked and someone, I don't recall who, ripped into it because of blown highlights. That criticism had a very positive impact on my shooting and processing and I'm grateful for it.
