This very nice example of a Leica 50mm f1.4 Summilux-M (Version 1 - circa 1960 ) lens . This lens is a Chrome/Silver barrel model and is easily one of the most character having Leica M mount lenses ever made. This lens is know for its great glowing image quality at a fast f1.4 aperture with a great background bokeh and gets quite sharp with beautiful rendering as it is stopped down…a unique feeling lens that is a beloved legend.
This lens is in very nice cosmetic condition showing pretty light wear from use and works great. This lens has a Smooth focus, proper aperture movement at all stops f1.4-f16, mounts nice and securely. The glass is nice with No deep scratches, No fungus, faint haze, faint coating crazing/cleaning marks inside and a few small rear coating surface dots (no affect that I see even tested 60mp camera resolution).
This lens comes with a unique black with purple lined slip on lens cap and an “Ernst Leitz GmBh Wetzlar Germany “ embossed rear lens cap too.
