The sun had set and I was shooting creative blurs at the West Pond of the Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge. I'd just upped my ISO during a quite moment and this turned out to have been a good choice as all the birds on the pond blasted off and I spotted the eagle a moment later capturing it as it banked going for the duck that appears as a blur in the first image. Three seconds later it's flying level and I take the second photo just before it turned and flew away from me.
