The "I am less noticed because I am carrying a slightly smaller black box" is hilarious especially in this era. Everyone is super sensitive to being photographed or filmed, it doesn't matter if you're using a tiny phone or a 400mm great white, the reaction is the same. The great white would actually almost elicit a smaller effect than someone initiating stalker vibes. Female subjects are especially super sensitive to this.
