I’ve been with Nikon exclusively since 1980 and have called them a lot. I call them when I feel I must. I am not technically wise and learning the Z8 menu has been a very long uphill process. I still do not like the Z8 menu but now...I sure know where to go for a quick answer and I’ve learned to do some troubleshooting too.
The quality of advice depends on who I get. In the past I have had 2 advisors who do not know what they are talking about and yet confidently gave advice anyway. I do not tolerate that anymore. I’ve learned to say “If you do not know, just tell me and pass me to another advisor... no problem”. Everyone there cannot know the intricacies of that system. It takes time and I am never one to give an advisor a difficult time if they do not know the answer. I think Apple has the best advice here: “Our advisors are here to help; please treat them with *Kindness*
Then, there are those two Nikon advisors who’ve been outstanding! Wow! They’ve taught me a lot.
