The lens is very small and light and has interesting rendering, all of which are what drew me to it. But I can't get my copy to work, as detailed above. I've probably owned 50 or more lenses and this is the first time this has happened to me.
Did you try any Eye-AF shots of people or animals at max aperture with your copy? And what were your AF issues at smaller apertures? Have you updated to Jonas's firmware?
