I am using the EF 135mm f/2 and found that the Tamron 24-70 and 70-200 offered a lot of quality and value for not much money.
For portraits or something special I bought the RF 50mm 1.2 and RF 85mm 1.2 but the adapters for EF are no problem and I integrate the other EF lenses.
I also got a nice used EF 30mm without IS for about $400 and was amazed at the images from that lens.
