I updated my copy as well. It now reads version 02 in the camera menu.
It's done by connecting the lens to the computer and dropping the FIR-lens on the lens.
I noticed some improvement: In AF-C focus locks better onto something when using the back focusing button. But... the lens AF is worse after updating as the focus now is pulsating around the target when closing down to f/4 or smaller aperture opening. That is in AF-C. I haven't tried any other AF setting.
Manual focusing still works in visible steps which can be annoying and especially so at short distances. The focusing ring still goes in the opposite direction compared to what we are used to. That's already mentioned by sebboh above and the situation is the same after the FW update.
Other hings I noticed:
The lens comes with a small brochure including a chart with MTF-curves. I can't really see my copy of the lens perform anywhere close to that MTF.
