I don’t know what the OP means by comfort zone but if I interpreted the sentiment correctly it’s some sort of repetitive rut. I have done a style of street photography for a year and then decided I didn’t want to do it anymore because the photos began to look the same like one Coldplay album sounded like the last one and the next. My street photography from shooting 6x6 looks different than from 135. For 135 i shoot fast for the moment with people as the subject. For 6x6 I frame carefully and the people is part of the composition so changing styles might help. I shoot all formats 135, 120, also 4x5 and 5x7 for architecture to remain creative.
